Academic Probation
A fall below the required academic requirements/standards
Alumni
Students who have graduated from an institution
Arkansas Course Transfer System (ACTS) (link to ACTS site)
This system contains information about the transferability of courses within Arkansas public colleges and universities.
Associate's Degree
A degree granted upon completion of a program of at least two
Audit
The completion of a course in which no assessment is needed and no grade is given
Bachelor's Degree
A degree granted upon completion of 120 or more credit hours
Catalog (Link to online catalogs)
A university's informational text in which students, faculty, and staff can learn the policies of the institution
College
An organizational unit of a university, such as the College of Education or the College of Engineering.
College Scheduler (link)
An online program that assists students with creating each semester's schedule
Concurrent Enrollment
Matriculation at two institutions at the same time
Course Numbers
A three to four digit code that identifies the level of a course and the number of credit hours received for the course
EX. English 1013 is a freshmen level English course in which a student receives three (3) credit hours.
Credit Hours
The number of hours a student must attend a course in order to receive credit for the course

An assessment of a student's academic progress and unfulfilled baccalaureate, associate degree, or minor requirements

The prescribed prerequesites for a student to complete a degree
Extra-Curricular Activities (Link to campus organizations and activities)
Non-classroom activities that contribute to a well-rounded education (ie. athletics, clubs, student government)
Faculty
Persons who teach the required coursework at a university
Final Exams (Finals)
A final assessment of the information taught in a course
Grade Point Average (GPA)
An average of a student's grades
Major
The academic discipline to which an undergraduate student formally commits
Non-Credit Courses
Courses that do not meet the requirements for the conferment of a degree

Prerequisite Courses
Courses taken in preparation for another course (ie. Accounting 1 is a prerequisite for Accounting 2.)

University division responsible for the maintenance of all academic records
Schedule of Classes
A listing of all of the courses available during a certain term
Transcript
A student's permanent academic record
Transfer Credit
Credit hours earned at another institution of higher learning
Undergraduate
A student who is pursuing a an Associate's or Bachelor's degree
